Earthpledge.net is a site devoted to promoting the advancement of worldcentric consciousness. The mass movement of this global awareness can trace its origin to the earlier photographs taken of our planet. (The one featured in the animation above on the Earth Flag was taken in 1972) Because of the growing momentum of this coherent and more encompassing perspective, it is absurd to think that within a hundred years or even fifty years from now we will still be living with our current imbalanced world order of ecological crisis and anarchy between nuclear armed nation states. It is more likely we will begin learning to live together as one united people or our species will enter a new dark age to become decimated by world wars and environmental catastrophe. If we want a sustainable and livable future, we must continue working towards a united world for ourselves and the generations that proceed us.
The most widely recognized scenarios we have in our collective consciousness concerning envisioning the near future, come from stories in our science fiction and theology. The western religions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam all share a common prophetic end times before God brings peace back to Earth. In our science fiction, Star Trek is perhaps the most influential when it comes to helping us imagine a united world where humans live in peace with each other. The religious and secular factions of our world may disagree about the means but they are all in consensus that humanity will someday live united in peace and prosperity and that there will be a horrendous war where millions and perhaps billions are murdered before we get there.
In many Christian circles, this great battle will take place anywhere between now and our next generation. In the Star Trek timeline World War III begins in 2026. At Earthpledge.net we seek to challenge conceptions among the secular and religious that see us as powerless in the face of imbalances, blinded politicians and world leaders setting the stage for this cataclysmic war. We seek to change this paradigm of doom and replace it with one of hope. If we come together and recognize we have so much more in common than we have differences, perhaps the hell fires of World War III can be extinguished in time to unite the world and avoid the millions and billions of potential casualties that are predicted. This is definitely something worthy of all our attention and effort.
About the Logo

The Earthpledge Logo was designed as a symbol for a united Earth where yin and yang are united in an equal balance. The spectrum of skin color in our world goes from light to dark which is why the arms and hands holding the torch at the center of the logo are an equal mixture of this spectrum. This is a representation of humanity as a whole, in which each individual has a right to call the Earth their home and true country.
